Solicitor awarded €105,000 for "nasty fracture" from beer garden slip

A solicitor who suffered a "nasty fracture" to her ankle when she fell on slippery decking in the beer garden of a Dublin pub has been awarded €105,000 in damages. Emma Morrison sued the operators of the Horseshoe House in Ballsbridge, Dublin, over the incident.

The case is a reminder that slip and trip accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere — and that those responsible for maintaining premises have a legal duty of care to their visitors.
